Our Story
A Vision Rooted in Purpose and Service.
Founded by Dr. Frederick L. Allen, VisionForward was created to amplify meaningful voices, honor influential legacies, and provide a platform for established leaders and emerging visionaries. The magazine highlights artists, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, creatives, community advocates, and everyday people whose work is making a difference.
VisionForward Magazine was originally established in loving memory of Dr. Allen’s late mother, Flora Belle Burch Allen, who passed away from complications of diabetes. Her life, strength, and legacy inspired him to create a publication rooted in purpose and service.
After publishing the first two issues, Dr. Allen entered a difficult season of grief and depression, and the publication was placed on pause. However, the vision was never abandoned.
Now, VisionForward Magazine has returned with renewed purpose, greater clarity, and an expanded mission. The relaunch represents more than the return of a publication—it is a testimony of healing, perseverance, and the courage to move forward.
